The Spanish group makes it debut in the Iraqi market with Cortefiel, Springfield and Women’secret which are opening their stores in Baghdad
Tendam launches its first Cortefiel, Springfield and Women’secret stores in Baghdad. The stores are opening in Al Mansour Mall, one of the largest shopping and leisure centres in the capital with the longest history. The shopping centre opened its doors in 2013 in the business district of the city and marked the beginning of a new stage in the life of Baghdad.
Cortefiel, Springfield and Women’secret are also arriving at a time when economic recovery in the country is beginning to take place. Iraq is a nation with a young population that, together with oil wealth, is an interesting attraction for investment. In this centre, the Tendam brands already share space with other international fashion, accessory and restaurant brands.
The goal of the Spanish company, one of the main European multinationals in the industry, is to achieve good development for the three brands thanks to the high demographic percentage of young people in Iraq.
Entering Iraq with its main brands means committing to a market with growth potential and responding the expansion strategy recently announced by the CEO of Tendam, Jaume Miquel.
The Spanish company’s plans include continuing its expansion in Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, which are areas where the Spanish company has great growth potential. These three openings in Iraq are proof of it.
