The new edition sets out five strategic lines on which the company’s sustainability plan is based: People, Sustainability, Social Contribution, Supply Chain and Governance.
Throughout the reporting period, Tendam has worked to continue with its commitment to sustainable development, advancing through business strategies, aimed at addressing the major environmental and social challenges that exist, and contribute to improving the planet and society.
The president and CEO, Jaume Miquel has highlighted in the letter of presentation of the report that “Tendam has continued improving its impact on society and the environment and has achieved significant progress in strengthening the commitment made within the United Nations Global Compact and joining new global initiatives of the United Nations as the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, the Business Ambition for 1.5 º, and joining the Fashion Pact emerged from the G7 summit in the fight to protect the climate, oceans and biodiversity.
The company has reduced its CO2 emissions by 30% during the year and has signed an agreement for the supply of renewable energy (with guarantee of origin certification) throughout its commercial network, buildings and facilities in Spain, which represents 80% of the group’s global energy consumption.
It also continues with its commitment to increase the weight of sustainable products with the aim of reaching 50% by 2030.
