The 2017 Sustainability Report reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable growth.The group’s strategy has been reinforced with a special focus on corporate responsibility as a key element in its relationship with different stakeholders.

 

During 2017, Tendam has opted for an omnichannel company culture, ensuring a high involvement with the quality of the service and the customer’s shopping experience. The relationship with suppliers has been strengthened taking into account the responsible values along the supply chain. The company works on the improvement of working conditions favoring the conciliation and well-being of employees, supporting the diversity and equality of women in the company.

New alliances have been created that have allowed us to add indispensable forces for social and economic growth; and embrace new challenges to generate a positive impact to solve large social problems.

Tendam has a Code of Conduct that establishes the ethical values, commitments and good practices that should be applied to the management of our business.

To ensure our commitment to compliance with legality, integrity, honesty and transparency, we make available to all our stakeholders outside the company, including our suppliers, an Ethics Line (iethics).

It is a communication channel that allows the confidential reporting of inappropriate behavior that violates the good practices contained in this document.

Social Projects

At Tendam, we share our capability for solving problems that affect and concern citizens such as transparency and good practices of organisations, the promotion and improvement of developing countries, women’s health and the future of our young people.

Get Involved Project

Our Get Involved project is possible thanks to the volunteer work of our employees and social entities. In its 12 years of life, it has become the icon of our social action.

Get Involved uses the left-over pieces from the Women’secret, Springfield, Cortefiel and Pedro del Hierro collections and organises solidarity markets that mobilise a large number of followers of the selected organisations, customers of the chains and the general public who take advantage of this time to collaborate with the selected associations and to contribute to raising more funds that can be used for their projects.

Things That Do Matter

Things That Do Matter is a project launched by Women’secret for women affected by breast cancer. The brand, together with the Dexeus Women Foundation, has created a line of lingerie, known as the post-surgery bra (PSB), designed by specialists and orthopaedists so that the garments are comfortable and the women who have undergone an operation normalise their daily lives and they feel beautiful inside and out. This project also supports women who have fertility problems due to cancer because it allocates all the benefits obtained from PSB collection sales to offer fertility preservation treatment, free of charge, through Dexeus Woman Foundation’s preservation programme.

This commitment leads to control policies over those operations in which it intervenes directly, always seeking maximum efficiency and lower consumption.

To that end, a measurement and management process of the carbon footprint is carried out with the objective of evaluating the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on an annual basis and taking necessary measures.

Achieving this makes us more aware of how our growth must be sustainable. Sustainability must be the golden rule that guides the decisions we make every day; that is why we have involved and responsible staff who are aware of achieving results, the service provided to our customers and our social and environmental commitment.
