  • Led by creative directors Nacho Aguayo and Álex Miralles, Pedro del Hierro presented two complementary collections on the runway: a women’s line defined by sophistication, and a men’s line that reinterprets elegance from a contemporary perspective.

Pedro del Hierro presented “La Gran Metropoli” at the iconic Crystal Palace, as part of the 82nd edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
A runway show that transformed urban architecture into a vibrant and sophisticated stage, becoming one of the standout moments of this commemorative edition.

Under this concept, La Gran Metropoli was introduced as a tribute to the city as a constantly moving stage—one that, as evening falls, transforms into a space where glamour, art, and nightlife coexist. The collection pays homage to the living city that doesn’t fade with sunset, but instead lights up in a convergence of energy, culture, and sophistication. It’s within this setting that a couple experiences the intensity of nighttime outings, knowing glances, and fleeting encounters. In this imagined scene of endless nights, stylish terraces, relaxed conversations, and impromptu galas, Pedro del Hierro unveils a collection that responds to heat with elegance, to the night with creativity, and to urban life with a distinct personality.

The staging journeyed from the warmth of dusk to the overflowing energy of dawn, showcasing a chromatic spectrum that blended incandescent oranges, deep burgundies, amethyst, and pomegranate red—balanced by pure whites, rich blacks, and a refreshing teal blue. With this collection, the brand reaffirms its contemporary and sophisticated vision, designed to accompany the vitality of a city that never sleeps.

Institutional support for the brand included the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida; Engracia Hidalgo, Delegate for Economy, Innovation and Finance; and Marta Rivera de la Cruz, Delegate for Culture, Tourism and Sports.

Nacho Aguayo’s vision materialized in a women’s collection that celebrated the power of the night. The runway was filled with flowing, full-length dresses, tuxedos reimagined with a contemporary twist, lightweight technical fabrics, and lustrous silks that added a touch of sophistication. Sheer elements were crafted with subtlety, revealing an elegant and refined sensuality designed for a confident woman who owns every moment.

Álex Miralles, meanwhile, unveiled a menswear line defined by freedom and confidence. His proposal alternated linen and linen-silk knits, provocatively styled tank tops, and lightweight jackets paired with summer coats worn without shirts. The tuxedo was reinvented with luminous fabrics, sequins shared with the women’s collection, and suede accents. The result was a sophisticated, urban man with a relaxed elegance that resonates with the rhythm of the contemporary city.

La Gran Metropoli emerged as one of Pedro del Hierro’s most powerful collections in recent years, reinforcing the brand’s creative identity and its ability to reinterpret urban life through a sophisticated and modern lens. With this show, Pedro del Hierro positioned itself as a standout reference in this edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, with pieces destined to become highlights on red carpets and international events.
