- Among the highlights is a new material developed from Red Sea algae.
This season, Pedro del Hierro is strengthening its commitment to textile innovation through its partnership with PYRATEX®, taking their collaboration a step further by expanding its scope both to the brand’s commercial offering, with new products launching at the end of September, and to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM).
The partnership takes on particular significance in this edition, as PYRATEX® is also participating as MBFWM’s textile innovation partner, further reinforcing a shared vision that brings together innovation, industry and design.
Ana Pastra, Womenswear Director at Pedro del Hierro Mujer, said: “Our collaboration with PYRATEX® has evolved season after season. We were one of the first brands to embrace their fibres, and today we continue to explore new ways of incorporating textile innovation into our collections together with Regina Polanco, CEO of PYRATEX®. This season, we are taking another step forward by bringing this collaboration both to our commercial offering and to the runway, always from a shared perspective on design, innovation and Made in Spain.”
The relationship between the two companies has been built over several seasons, during which Pedro del Hierro has incorporated innovative PYRATEX® fibres and fabrics into its commercial collections, embracing their developments from an early stage. The collaboration reflects the brand’s commitment to integrating innovation, design and Spanish industry into the evolution of its collections.
New materials: from the Red Sea to Spanish fashion
Among the developments that Pedro del Hierro will incorporate into its upcoming collection is a new PYRATEX® material made with Red Sea algae fibre, which will feature in the brand’s proposal for MBFWM.
These materials will be complemented by fabrics developed with CIRC®, a US-based textile recycling technology that enables circularity to be incorporated into some of the designs presented on the runway.
The collaboration will continue at the end of September with the launch and communication of new commercial products developed together with PYRATEX®, continuing throughout the season a partnership that brings together textile innovation and design.
